About Jozi from Cape Town
I am a budding flower from Cape Town who recently moved to Johannesburg.
I have been writing myself or people who resembled me into my books for as long as I can remember.
I would define myself as just a writer but that wouldn't give a fair chance to the roles I have grown into. Film is my second love - my passion and curiosity for the art form lies in directing. I wear many hats in my career such as a conceptual copywriter, a script writer, social media manager and a part time model.
My Latest Projects
NublaqAfrica
Nublaq is a creative hub for African artists that is run by young black artists. It aims to educate African musicians on how to navigate the music industry as well as promoting their music on their website, socials and upcoming app. I joined Nublaq in 2019 for a social media project - I am currently head Copywriter for the company. I work on social media strategy, website, business proposals and any other project the company handles.
The Fam
The Fam is one of my social media projects that I work with Mandima Qunta on. Mandima is the co-owner of the fam which is event curation company with many products under it such Buka Arts, Le Grande Ball, Open Room Sessions etc. Each project is themed with differently and targeted at various audiences. I have been learning different ways on how to communicate and reach those different audiences. I worked on The fam's social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) for 3 months before I relocated.
